First of all, I do believe most bans are legit.

However, one thing worries me. According to the rules, you do get banned if you are participiating in a trade with bought gold, correct?

Now if I have a level 60 selling something relate to its trade profession, how can I avoid selling something to a gold buyer/seller? If I offer my services for months and months at some point I am unavoidably going to run into a gold buyer who wants my services, be it enchants or other tradeskills. Can someone confirm that you do get banned for being involved in a trade like that? Imo there is no way to check my customers on their "criminal" background, so how do I avoid getting banned for this?

I think the problem is, that they ban for every gold transaction. So, I think there are people who lend some friend 100-200 gold (or even more) and get banned for this. Another thing is having another account that you send some money.
For myself, I try to avoid these transactions to not getting banned. But that sure isn't blizzlike.

Just posting an update.
An admin logged on to state that the system has been revised, and I was unbanned.
Big thanks to the GM team for all the help!

Don't be silly they won't ban you if you give gold to friend! I helped my friend for his 100% mounts on 2 characters and why I did not get ban ? Answer is simple I farm the gold and never bought any from these Ni-HAO farmers. Play by the rules and you won't get involved into this "Gold Trafficking" situation. Peace!

Lets not forget that GMs make mistakes as well, which is why it's good to appeal if you've been banned for nothing...

But sometimes you're just dirty , spending your dirty gold & getting bent

But what kind of protection do enchanters have, they make tons of transactions, whos to stop a gold buy from buying an enchant from a guy just trying to do his profession for honest gold.

If you're buying/selling on the AH like a normal person, there would be no reason to even give your account a second look. No one can know 100% for sure that they have never recieved bought gold through the AH. The staff would obviously know that and take it into account.
If you have a habit of posting items on the AH for rediculous amounts of money, and they always seem to get bought by random throw away account 187563, that's something totally different.
Remember, the sellers are also coaching the buyers in these situations also. They feel they can manipulate the staff by being slick with their transactions so as to have an alibi. They feel that if they lean hard on their alibi that they can force the staff to unban them. And, of course, there is always the tried and true "show us all the evidence then" line that will hopefully create doubt about the integrity of the staff and rally public support.
So don't worry about using the AH in a normal manner that is inside of the rules. And don't worry about sending gold to your alts, or your friends.
People lie when they get caught, and everyone on the Internet is an amateur lawyer.
