I love this server. Litmus test on society is interesting to me too. Look at how competitive it is: it seems to me the devs made WoW to force you to guild up so as to adapt just to survive. Case in point good old Ganklethorn (Viet Nam), the first real contested zone with the layout clearly favoring the horde with a town mid map with a free zeppelin flight seconds away from UC and Org. The only way to survive is to guild up and the only way to survive in a guild is with a fair amount of rapport and social skill. The game lends itself to competition and in this day and age with modern events unfolding, look at how the different cultures adapt amongst themselves and with others. I don't really have any complaints. 96-130ish lat is playable to me. Now I get ganked left and right and sometimes dungeon with immoral pukes but just as often I come across mature or really silly players etc that make my day. I think its ironic how people expect thier government (in this case the devs) to create a fantasy world to thier liking. But if policies don't change and life remains on life's terms, you become resourceful and adapt or get swept up by the competition. I'm happy to play my game with average skill, playable latency and really get a kick at people watching too on Nost. Good times :D

You also forgot to talk about those elite quest which can only be done as 5.
It's easy to do them because in each area there are 10 players doing the same quests
It's a good point, I love populated realms

High pop is favorable to finding groups to kill elites, which is a HUGE part of the WoW Vanilla experience.

If you don't like being ganked, don't play on PvP.

I'm only level 19 on my first toon on this server (after roughly 1 week), I'm loving the old world feel and the memories I'm reliving on this server. Is it perfect? No, but its free and its Vanilla. If I can handle the 20 minute runs across the Barrens, I can handle a little bit of server lag.

Generally I find people on here to be fairly solid players (which is nice) and mostly friendly, already had a few run ins with jerk chinese players who steal world spawns under your nose and laugh as they run away, but it is what it is, I'd like the Chinese to be moved away personally, since they cannot communicate and tend to not be friendly, but I'll deal.

I just want this server to REMAIN Vanilla up to Naxx and stay there, I left Retail when TBC released after replacing a Naxx Tier 3 item with a Green at 65, I don't want to experience THAT again.

I invite you to go to a zone like Tanaris during Chinese peak times and try to get anything done. I don't think people actually realize what having 5x the intended population of a vanilla server online does to the gameplay. Not only does the lag make the experience unplayable and cause all kinds of weird bugs, it's not even possible to kill mobs or get quests done because there are so many people. Mobs would have to respawn the instant they die in order for everyone to get what they need, and that is an indication that things are out of control. This is not how World of Warcraft is meant to be played. It is literally not playable and is certainly not fun for anyone.

Holy shit, cry more dude. I didn't realize the fact if it isn't fun for you, it isn't fun for anyone else either, you speak for all of us. Dat logic. Do the community a favor and uninstall. People with your bitch mentality just bring everyone down around them. This is a private server with committed devs, the guys who made the server I'd bet also like vanilla. If there was something game breaking it would be addressed ASAP. Obviously the population weighs heavy on the hardware and thus delay in terms of lag but at no point does the game become not fun or unplayable as your bitchy remarks put it. If your bitchy mc bitch bitch statements were true, why would there be thousands of players consistently online, every day?

This place is awesome. Go be a bitch somewhere else and whine. Your entire post is bullshit and I'm the reason why, I have tons of fun here and the population never bothers me. You're garbage dude, gtfo.

Just wanted to bump this thread to point out the absolute absurdity of this kind of posting, which seems to go on regularly here. People post about the actual conditions of the server at peak population times and then geniuses like this guy show up and go "no that's not true, because the server is good! It can't be bad because I said so!" And then he goes off on some kind of insane hateful rant based on no factual evidence whatsoever. The community really needs a purge of these kinds of posters. But then again I guess this is what you can expect on an MMO forum. What really needs to happen is for those of us with more than two brain cells and some common sense to drown them out. Remember, idiots tend to be thoughtless and loud. Don't let them become the majority voice, because they do not think, and people who don't have actual reasoned thoughts are always much more likely to spew the contents of their heads onto the internet.
