"I hope they release a new server......"
Ummmmm they did.. It's called Elysium. Go play on it.
Now this isn't speculation at all if you look at what Valk posted on 4/7/2016 after we got the bad news:
"If Nost's account database (ie. Character data) goes public, we will be happy to offer free transfer to our server without losing any in-game progress. We're always here to help those who wish to return to World of Warcraft once again."
OK old news rights?
There was then expedited hardware changes for Elysium. For a server that has been up as long as Valk, why the sudden change of hardware? You knew before Elysium what was needed to run your expected Population, which is actually lower than anticipated (800 active) compared to the expected 2,500.
And to top it off, after putting that Twitter response, you have the recruitment of 3 developers for Elysium posted today. Note the one mentioning stability.
Nost admins talked about the willingness if they found somebody to take over the project that they would let them be the face of it and can still help in the background. - In April, rather than make source code "public".
This is for sure something to watch and #AfterBlizzCon > #BlizzCon.
I feel motivated to make a Summoning Lock on Elysium while we wait this out.
