I would say it's legit in almost all cases...
You may think otherwise by reading all the manic banned posts. People, that are getting banned, wont simply just accept that,. They will lie, lie and lie some more, in hope to MAYBE get their account back.
Imagine spending 1 year playing almost every day, and then you get banned for that gold you purchased a while ago(Or in some cases???? You have sold a service for bought gold) I can imagine the shock and despair

Feel free to add an autoban to the words Depreciate and $66.88 in public channels, I am sick of being spammed by those guys!

This account has been unbanned, and a few others that got banned on a mistake of the detector.
The detection system has been updated accordingly.

The only people who really care about that are the ones who buy gold.
The level of whining about bans on the forums is at an all time industrial level.

Here's the thing though, you can get banned from getting paid in bought gold? I know services are commonly offered in MMORPGs - dungeon runs, crafting, etc. Since you will never know where the gold came from, it is starting to look like it's a gamble.

This isn't retail. People say this all the time, but people paid Blizzard so blizzard didn't want to lose customers. Everyone agreed to the terms of use when they created the account, gold buying is forbidden. If you're here to just have fun and hate grinding like you said, go to a fun server. Keep this server clean

So... Can you get banned for receiving a payment ingame that is done with bought gold? I did put up a ticket ingame for the GM's to check out a buyer for an item that Im selling for a really large amount of good, though no answer.. Not gonna sell anything till the guy is checked out lol.
