How will the economy ever recover from this?

I'd like to know if there is anything to be done to repair the damage that has been caused by this. These players simply cannot be allowed to ruin the economy.

ruin the economy? they are alrdy at an unfair advantage because of collecting so many herbs the only fix is a perma ban on everyone who abused this, nothing less.

+1 I'm perfectly okay with that. Each player that did the exploiting knew exactly what they were doing.

We/the admins also cannot entertain or accept the excuses coming from those who do get banned. I can see it now... "The bug is YOUR FAULT NOSTALRIUS!!! YOU SHOULD HAVE WARNED US EARLIER THAT IT WAS BAD!!" Pathetic. Ban them all.

I would suggest the only fair solution: a 24 hour rollback. Definately a tough decision for the GMs here.

Agreed. I think it's the only reasonable thing to do. Dunno if they have the technology to do it in a smooth way though.

However, this will probably result in a gazillion tickets and threads about lost items, gold and XP.

24 Hour rollback? lmao not needed. Nostalrius staff should always have snapshot of sever before they apply "fixes/patches".

Well you know there's going to be another ban wave coming. Hard to imagine people are still stupid enough to farm things like this at this point. Can't wait to see the inevitable "WHY WAS I BANNED FOR MINING?" threads. I can't help but feel they did this on purpose to bait more exploiters and gold sellers, but hey, it clearly works. They should also be selling gold... then promptly banning everyone who buys it.

It'll recover by banning the players, exactly like last time and the time before that. Players should know better than to spam on a node that never goes away.

Notice how majority abusing are china? No lose at all perma banning every single one of them
