After reading the OPs post and a few pages of replies, this is what i have to say.

Op made a mistake, some douche took advantage of it and the guild leadership offered no real solutions and tried to roll responsibility onto others. Damn man, if you have a solid guild (which i guess you don't), shit like this should not be allowed to happen... ever. Any proper man would have returned the gold and realized that it was a misunderstanding, the end.

Just like in real life you have to remember that not everyone is decent and they take advantage of honest people. Sorry that happened to you, I'd be mad too.

Allowing such bad behavour to be going on between guild members is ofcourse a guild issue, guild members should help each other and be friendly, they are progressing togheter, not treat each other badly and as if it was everyone for their self.

If I were a gm / officer I would give the player who took the money an ultimatum, either repay or find another guild. It's about doing what's ethicaly right.

And yeah, I've had people trade me too much either mats or gold a few times when doing trading and deals, and I always repayed them imidiatly, why would I not, is 1500 gold worth getting a bad rep and knowing that your a selfish egoist for the rest of your life really worth the 1500g ?
