Imo, should not be a perma ban.

All you boyscouts loling at banned people are disgusting.

It takes a long time to level to 60 and build a character, to be banned for a bug thats abused for a matter of 2 hours dosn't seem reasonable.

My next ~40 taps I was pretty confident it was broken, but I was waiting for a GM to respond to my ticket, and I was deleting all the stuff that I looted anyway. I thought that would be okay. I checked 3-4 other nodes, found some worked, some didn't. Destroyed the ore from both the ones that worked and the ones that did not.

Hoping they reverse my ban by Saturday. I have a raid!

If they revert the bans for this they should revert the bans for the Silithus miners.

People who tried to cheat the system deserve to be banned. People who collected and kept hundreds of Black Lotus, people who tried to hide earnings on seperate characters, people who continued to herb/mine after the system warning alerted the realm not to...

But if someone logged on and thought "hey this is weird" and looted a stack of plaguebloom, it's probably not worth banning that person for being a retard. Or if you deleted the stuff you picked up after you figured out it was a bug, hey that's not a malicious person, don't ban em.

If they banned people for mining in Silithus after they made the arbitrary decision that running in a 45 minute lap of the zone and getting a couple dozen Rich Thorium after allowing it to go on for upwards of 6 months, they'll certainly ban people for abusing an extremely obvious bug.

In the case of people who only gathered a few extra resources, realized something was awry, then stopped and/or submitted a GM ticket/deleted their ill-gotten gains, I can see them unbanning upon further review. Just like the AQ event fiasco, remember? The cyka blyats who crashed the server over and over got permabanned, and almost everyone who turned in any of those quests more than once also got banned, but the people who only did it a couple times got their bans reversed.

I'm not involved in this case, but seriously a permaban for this is just ridiculous. Those who farmed dozens of herbs/ores deserve a temporary ban (maybe 1-2 weeks), but to sanction them the same as botter, gold buyer or whatever just isn't right.
NOST: Use temporary bans for minor offences!

People who reported this bug, and in the ticket told the GM's how much they had gathered (or deleted), before the server wide warning, should obviously been unbanned.

Everyone should know this is not normal, and I hope they keep up the bans, as this is obviously exploiting. I dont agree with the ban of silithus miners, but this is certainly reason for ban.
