There was a fairly decent archive (relative to partial Wayback Machine parses) of the old EU forums hosted by some shady Filefront affiliate IIRC at one point. I can't remember the exact name, but it had "yellow" in the archive or site title. Alas, it went MIA shortly after the transition to the Battle.net forum interface at the end of Wrath. The old archive was concentrated comedy gold..errr.nostalgia! But also had loads of useful info and really gave a flavour of some of the most active realm communities during the best years of the game.

You'd think with the considerable server infrastructure they've put in place over the years for WoW, Blizzard would have been able to keep a read--only archive of the original forums in place for posterity :/

You are so right - I´d love a trip down memory lane and read old archieves like that.
