I am new to nostalrius and i would like to know which server is more updated and I also like PvP if that helps, also what are the serer ratios for Horde and Alliance. - Thanks

pvp server is currently on zg patch, with world dragons coming in next months.
pve server status is currently t1 without (?) DM

You can check ratio's but there is much more people playing on pvp server.

If you are new, go on the PvE server. It's smaller, laggs less, and isn't one big gankfest as the PvP one now is. PvP was fun to level on while it was new. Now raid geared 60s are ganking in every zone. The fun time has long since passed.

Play on the PvE server if you are new since you don't have to deal with a bunch of gankers while leveling. If you make it through all the asshat gankers to 60, you will find that many things are overfarmed as well. For example, getting blood of heroes is a fucking nightmare and you have to camp the spawn locations for a couple hours in addition to fending off the opposing faction (often players in full epic raiding gear).
