How Common are Raid Geared Players?

I am looking to start on Nostalrius.

Just how often do you seen raid geared players in Battlegrounds and high level zones? The population is double retail servers back in 05/06, and so I am curious about this.

I am hesitant about playing if I just get swarmed by raid geared players while trying to PvP. The server has been out for almost a year so I am concerned.

Like 50% of the alliance is raid geared rest are blue/pvp geared. I can speak only for the alliance side but as I can see horde are pretty good geared too.

alot of people have raid gear but its very easy to get raid gear yourself

I would say at least half of level 60 players have raid gear. keep in mind that PvE encounters in Vanilla have been exactly the same for 10-11 years so strats are not exactly secret. there are 30+ guilds on the PvP server that clear MC and BWL.
