Character deleted after years without playing ?

I was wondering if characters can be deleted if we don't play on Nostalrius for about 1 year or more ? Because a lot of private server are doing this, and I hate that ! I don't want to see my character deleted if I need to rest sometimes without playing.

Nostalrius has not been up a year yet, so you can't have any characters that old.

That said, Nostalrius does not delete delete characters or accounts.

They delete all characters under level 5 that have been inactive for 3 months, all under 20 that have been inactive for 6 months, and all under 60 that have been inactive for 12 months. The whole account gets deleted at 2 years of inactivity.

Nostalrius is much more than a year old btw, I guess OP is talking about his character from the old beta/insta-60 server. All of them were deleted with no chance of recovery: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=15161

Your usage of 'imo' is flawed.

I recently logged on an alternate account that I hadn't used since summer, and everything was intact. It has no character over level 2.
