what kind of reasoning is that? blizzard probably had some reason to ban it and i'm guessing nostalrius has a reason also; and i'm interested in what that reason is. banning something solely for it being banned on retail makes no sense.

no, it's not. why not just ban gm inpersonation and that's it. kitchen knifes can kill people but they aren't illegal for it. furthermore, gm's have a blizzard logo next to their names and most people know that. there are also loading screen tips and such stuff that tell you that gm's won't ask for your info. anyone stupid enough to fall for a scam just because of a different text color (which turns out to be an item link when u click on it) can't possibly hope to blame gm's for poor management on this, don't you agree?
