Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

So, over the past couple days i've been doing my Paladin mount quest, and it took me to the Dwarven District to talk to Grimand Elmore, he was there and offered me a quest to chop off an arm and a leg and give him all my gold, so I went and got it, and he's gone? Just straight up gone. I sat and waited for like an hour just in case a very specific griefing rogue might have killed him but it seems like somebody decided to get rid of him.

This guy was in the game since vanilla, and he starts 5 quests, including a warrior quests and 2 other non Paladin ones. No idea why this guy wouldn't be here considering he was literally here 2 days ago to give me this quest.
