Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Hello guys,

Just started playing on this wonderful server and i got 1 simple questions:

Are nights here as dark as they used to be in vanilla wow? They seem a lot brighter to me, but it might be just my memory.

The PVP server isn't 1.10 yet i think that's when they really put effort into stuff like Weather night / Day worse case can you get FX Sweetner too

Uuuh, really? So it -will- get darker at some point? How awesome! Was waiting around at a spot I used to do screenshots at and I thought I was remembering wrong, it just did not look as it used to...!

The scripting & items are not to 1.10 yet, but the client is 1.12.1 - the client software would most likely affect the night effects.

If you play US east coast then there's no lag really. High population still but not nearly as brutal as daytime hours.

Weekends still nearly unplayable.

Did you actually read the thread? Not every single post on these subforums is about the population.

On topic: If weather and amount of light are linked, I guess both might be 1.12-ish since we definitely have weather, but since the weather is bugged, so could the nights be? In all honesty, I can't remember what the nights looked like in different zones. Wish I had my old screenshots folder but that was like 3 PCs ago

I have heard that nights used to be darker, and yet they still seem rather bright to me. If this is something that has yet to be added, then that is wonderful news!

Dark nights were one of the things I was most looking forward to when I began on this server. I have, however, discovered an area which may be the darkest area in the game currently. It is Brambleblade Ravine, the home of the quillboars near Camp Narache. From my time there, I recall dark shadows and misty fog. It was actually a bit difficult to see at times, something which I really liked. The rest of Azeroth, from my experience, is not like that.
