how I got screwed out of 20 silver by a bug :(

by One-eyed-king » Thu Jan 21, 2016 3:16 am

My toon was at a leatherworking trainer. He was only level 8 but had LW of 70 and had already progressed beyond the journeyman trainer to the master for his recipes. The recipe I wanted him to learn was green, so I clicked Learn...and didn't think anything happened. So I clicked it again...same thing. And again. Finally I noticed that, every time I clicked, the 5 silver to learn the recipe was being deducted from his bags but he wasn't learning the recipe. So now my toon is out money that he needs for other things, and there's no way to create a ticket to have it fixed. :(

Free server.
Also, you can sign up for the Bug Tracker - instructions here viewtopic.php?f=45&t=28132
and try to see if it's already been reported. Posting about it here won't have any effect, other than being somewhat cathartic.

Yeah, that happened to me too with LW at around that skill level. Lost some silver. I was able to properly learn them after I relogged.

I decided not to bother the admin team over silver, even though it was a princely sum for me at the time. Not sure if they reimburse you for things like that.

It's pretty much only cathartic. Even on Nos's economy 20 silver is not considered significant enough to bother the GMs with. If it had been 20 gold I'd have done more about it.

Anyway, glad to hear that the bug has been reported before.
