Is this considered multiboxing?

Basically I am just looking into getting started here and my wife is interested as well. We play on 2 different computers (and never use each other's) but are in the same house with the same Internet.

I know it isn't really multiboxing but don't want to get started just to find out we cannot play at the same time. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

nah.

But if she follows you or you follow her then it could get you banned.

As long you are two persons playing a character each, then everything is fine.

Buf if your wife goes on /follow - even it is just for a few minutes - then you are technically multiboxing, so it is recommended you never use /follow.

You are perfectly fine to play here. We do not base multiboxing assessments on sharing an IP address.

I have a question on the similar topic: Can I use 2 accounts in this usecase: I would like to have my mage on one account, and my alts on another, so I can conjure water/food for them before I play with them, teleport them at the beginning so that they get flight path and maybe enchant their items from time to time?

Yes, those are the few exceptions mentioned in the ToU, and therefore allowed:

VI. Multiboxing

Multiboxing refers to playing multiple characters simultaneously. This can either be achieved by using multiple machines to run the Game or by running multiple instances of the Game. The following rules are not meant to be exhaustive, and using multiple characters to level, farm reputation, run dungeons, do raids and/or engage in PVP is considered Multiboxing. Each case of Multiboxing will be judged individually and thoroughly. There are a few specific situations where you may have two characters in-game simultaneously, *only while both characters are in a major city*:

Transferring items between accounts;
Using professions, as long as no farming or material gathering is involved;
Crafting, enchanting, banking and/or for trading purposes that does not include the Auction House.
Portalling a second account only to and from major cities.
Playing simultaneously on both PvP and PvE realms. *Not restricted to major cities*

You can definitely co-op with any size group regardless of if you are in household or not, but if you use the /follow command for any long length of time you will get noticed and banned
