...respawns.

Yep, that's right. I go into an area I'm unfamiliar with right after someone else has cleared it out. While I'm passing through, a whole bunch of mobs simultaneously respawn right where I am. Sometimes I'm able to escape, but there are sometimes bugs where the mobs don't retether but chase me halfway across azeroth until the toon is dead.

Not sure what can be done about this except to be super careful and suspicious when I go into what APPEARS to be an empty area and wait 10 minutes or so to see whether anything respawns there.

I like to pull mobs away somewhere safe, even when there aren't any around just in case that happens.

The rates are really much too fast many times, especially on the PvE server which is not even overpopulated and therefore shouldn't have modified respawn rates to begin with.

Nothing compares to retail TBC launch day. Mobs in Hellfire would literally respawn instantly. I'm serious. You'd kill a mob, and he'd respawn before you can even loot his corpse.

Also fyi, leashing on mobs is not bugged, you just don't understand how it works.

Damaging a mob will reset their leash, meaning that if you keep hitting a mob or damaging it with something like hamstring or frost nova, it won't reset no matter how far you run.

Leashing and aggro range on NPC pets is bugged.
