GMs do not interfere as this is a case of account security. Your account name and password were compromised somehow. It's your fault.

Piece of advice:
Never give your password to anyone
Never use your in-game name for your account name.

Since you have no idea how to secure your account, you got hacked and lost your gold. GM's cannot do anything about this, since this is your own damn fault.

I understand he made a mistake, but the GMs will probably still give him back his account, don't treat them like they were basterd mongrels that never help anybody, they are not 15y old childs.

Even worse: If his account is compromised, he also risk a perma-ban from the GM's. So not only did he lose 1K gold, he might lose his entire account - and all because he gave sheit for security, but picked same username, same account name and same ingame name: a sitting duck for hackers.

Usually they ban compromised accounts.
