Warchief Rend's drops need to change!

Warchief Rend in Upper Blackrock Spire has all of a sudden started dropping 1 item per kill. I recognize that it is not "all of a sudden" but rather, he didn't do that in vanilla. This is a recent change, as I hear he had 2 drops pre Zul'Gurub.
I understand that the 100% sword drop rate may have caused an influx of the players having the weapon, but that is what needs to happen. In most cases these swords are replaced in the first tier 40 man raids. I am literally grinding this weapon for longer than I will be using it. Furthermore, the rarity of these sword drops has caused an unhealthy rift in the community. Rend + Jed runs have become a very popular approach to the instance and people hardly run the full thing anymore. Furthermore, these groups are primarily made by rogues and fury warriors, and in most cases they look to reserve them for themselves. This causes a player vaccum as about 4-5 groups at a time attempt to gather the players needed for even a shortened run as the one mentioned before.
I believe that the drop system should be reverted to the way it was before because it is chiefly creating a poisonous, stand still community of players that are stuck grinding for an item that is supposed to be guaranteed per kill. It is very disheartening to keep running this instance knowing that if I had just chosen the PvE server, which I don't prefer to PvP that I would have had these swords and saved myself DAYS worth of gameplay. I will not be submitting this request to the Bug Tracker forums as I read a similar post in there from over a month ago. Clearly nothing has been done to change it since that post and I feel it adequate to bring this issue to the eyes of the moderators directly!
