The vanilla experience?

I started playing on nost a few month ago, when there were around 7k ppl online at peaktimes and weekend.
it was sometimes hard to get your mobs and lootable items for your quests, but with a little patience it worked well.
u also got killed often, but im playing on a pvp-realm and you got to expect gangs from time to time.
i really enjoyed playing on nost these times.

a few month later there are usually 10k+ ppl online with a peak of 13k (!!!) ppl online.
questing got impossible, due to permagangs of highlvl allies/hordies, that want to reserve the mobs q-items for their lower mates/chars.
even your own fraction lets u die when u pulled too many mobvs to have them for thereself.
i usually dont have time to regg when respawning, cuz there are enemy-fraction players everywhere.
there is overpopulation everywhere....
as far as i know the amount of player able to logg on a realm in classic was about 3k for BOTH fractions.

playing on nost nowadays has nothing in common with the experienxe i had back in the days of official classic and also nothing with the feeling i had when i started a few months ago :(

im starting to ask myself where this is going?
is this really where the devs want this server to go?

Lololololol

Yes I'm sure the devs are kicking themselves in the ass that there is so much pvp happening on their pvp server. The population is fantastic. Those whom complain should go play a single player game where no one will interfere with them. If you're a die hard mmo player, the overpopulation is an advantage to be taken. To those like you whom see it as an obstacle, the entire purpose of the server goes over your head. If you play solo and make no friends here, you're gonna have a terrible time but if those things were concerns to you why are you even playing an mmo? Get lost bruh

This is an mmo dream come true. There's always other players everywhere.

yeah it might be fun and stuff, but again, it isnt the classic experience.

if u want to play tennis and say: hey lets put 300 instead of 2-4 ppl on the field!
it might be fun, but has absolutely nothing to do with the classic tennis experience.
im happy if u enjoy the server as it is!
i really dont cuz like i said in my original post it has nothing in common with the memories i have from playing classic some years ago and even with the experience i had playing on nost some time ago.

if the plan was to make a giant pvp-arena where u get funked if u dont own a 60 and u need ages to complete a quest and have to fight your own fraction, then they managed well!

if they wanted to create a vanilla server with the classic feels, they failed misserably in my opinion.

and telling me to play on a pve-server doesnt help, cuz i want to play on a vanilla pvp-server ;)

But...instead of tennis rackets, they should use swords....and use a raccoon in place of a tennis ball. That wouldn't be tennis at all. nope.

Well you have two choice's here mate, Eaither Suck it up. Play this over pop PVP OR! Go on PVE and play like Robots playing an RPG

Sucks but i mean if you want that 1x Classic REAL VANILLA Everything 100% Here's some Truth for ya, that will NEVER happen again. Ever no matter what, saddly this is how it will always be. You can lie to yourself every night but, this is Blizzlike NOT blizzard. I honestly don't like 12k pop 10k is perfect IMHO anything above 11k is in general to much for the server (If the world was a little bigger and people went to more zones and it didn't lag i think more people would be lovely, I'm quite the social tank!) I know it can be hard but like a lot of people here you can cross your fingers and hope for a second PVP Server!

Population seems fine, it's just the lag that I find worrying.

Generally speaking, I like the high population. There's nothing worse than deserted zones while leveling. On Nost, you can literally play on 4am of your local timezone, and it still won't take you longer than a few minutes to find groups, other people to quest with, enemies to PVP with, or anything else.

But yes, the non-blizzlike population does cause some issues that we didn't face in classic, some of which would be good to address. The nost team has already increased spawn rates of mobs and nodes/herbs, which was fantastic.
Nothing has been done to address ganking issues so far. Don't think they will, but in theory, this might be solvable by spawning more guards, slightly modifying the dishonorable kills system, or implement what was seemingly planned before WoW launched (players becoming exiled from their own capitals when ganking too much etc) - even though I'd be surprised if anything will actually be done about this in the future.
