Ask them this 10 questions :
1- what was the function of meeting stones in vanilla ?
2- how did seal of righteousness work in vanilla ?
3- what was famous world pvp zone ?
4- what spec was played mostly by priests ?
5- what was the famous meme for hunters ?
6- what was called paladins in vanilla ?

if they don't know at least 6 answers .. they never played vanilla and they have no idea what it used to be in vanilla.

Answer : It was used as LookingForGroup Tool , but sadly so many people would end up as 5 DPS in 1 group so people avoid to use it since LookingForGroup channel was much more efficient and easy to get group for anything.

Answer : The most famous world pvp zone was Crossroads , it was best place where alliance and horde have quests and roads in common , it was best place for all levels from 35-60 to engage in battle invading the horde City .
This place was popular and the biggest battles between Horde and Alliance remain even after Vanilla (during the period of TBC) .
Answer : Holy , the only spec played by 90% of the Priests , you would see barely some Shadow Priest and it used to be on PVP but even for PVP , Holy was by far the most played spec.

Due to their Cleanse they was accepted in Raids regardless of what spec they as long as they do their job - Cleanse.

The room where you enter after you kill Pyroguard , those eggs Hatch over and over again once you cross them and spawn Whelp .
People usual avoid this room with the optional boss , but those eggs was best idea of some crazy adventurers to run all over the eggs and spawn all the Whelps around.
Answer : so dark , foggy or extra shiny and coolish.
This was most popular and so crazy once you enter Duskwood , because it was almost unplayable there Blizzard decide to reverse the weather and increase the draw distance of viewing .
Everyone in retail even today are missing this old times where Grass was so nice light green during sun and everything around scary during nights .
Answer : Hunter quest mob.
This mob could 1 shot any attacker in melee range and it was immune to "slow" "snare" effects , he was patrolling in burning steppes south from Blackrock Mountain , later in patch 1.8 this mob was moved by Blizzard in Un'Goro .
Some people discover that Priest can Mindcontrol this mob and with the opening of AQ this was most crazy idea to MC this mob and to solo kill every single Silithus NPC .
Once Blizzard had discover this idea , they restart the server and set this mob Immune to Mindcontrol .
Answer : Stormwind and Orgrimar .
You could as warlock or Hunter kite anytime Bosses from any zone (eastern kingdom for Stormwind) (kalimdor for Orgrimar) and cause wipefest party here.
There was tons of bones and dead guardians once this Bosses was dragged, still the person that kite them got all the credit .
It was funny that Blizzard decide to never ban the abuser or reverse the Bosses system.
