Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

I love Nostalrius and its amazing staff which really work a lot to give us this perfect experience, but I keep getting worried, can Blizzard shut it down?

it would cost them too much to try. they would more likely create a vanilla style server to take advantage of the money that they are missing out on. by not having one.

almost a cool idea, 1x leveling in vanilla content with the upgraded graphics. but they never will.

Short answer, yes. But it will properly never happen due to the major legal hassle of getting that done. Their issue is that the server is placed in EU and not US, there for cant blizzard use the insane corrupted court system to get the servers closed.

If it would happen would take years in court to get done and therefor a waste of time for blizzard and a major money loss.

Short answer. Yes. Will they? Probably not. Not worth their time.

Blizzard could if they wanted to. But they don't want to.

Why? Blizzard knows there's a need for vanilla, tbc, wotlk servers and if the people behind the private server don't financially benifit from it, Blizzard doesn't care about the server. Because they don't want to create their own legacy servers and thus don't mind if there are private servers available.

Because Nostrils is going out of their way to make sure this is a non-profit server, Blizzard will have a lot of trouble shutting it down. I think another private server put in a lot of MTX and p2w shit on it, made lots of money, and Blizzard brought the ruckus.

Yes, Blizzard could shut down a wide number of private servers hosted in the EU in the near future. Including this one, since it's hosted in France. It all depends on if this thing is passed and recognized by the EU trade union and the USA.

The big thing the above agreement would allow would be a broader recognition of Trademark and Copyright retention of the companies that own them within the court systems of the partnership nations. France, Germany, and the UK would all roll over and kill servers once freshly printed C&D's were issued.

Nations not a part of the partnership would continue to give Blizzard the middle finger. CZ is one of these.

If Trump OR a Democrat gets elected, this thing will pass for certain as far as the US is concerned. It will be on the EU nations to see it through at that point.

What concerns me is that so many vanilla Servers closed because of nostalrius success. Once there is only nostalrius left blizz might put in efford to close it.
On the other hand they may be giving a shit about those 30k players
