Is this allowed?

by Blazebyte » Fri Mar 18, 2016 1:56 am

Hi!

Is it allowed to have 2 wow windows on 2 different accounts on this server?

Say I wanted one of my higher level characters to power level a new character on a different account. Is this allowed?

You may only open two accounts at the same time if BOTH characters are in a major city (you may not use AH):

https://en.nostalrius.org/terms-of-use
VI. Multiboxing
Multiboxing refers to playing multiple characters simultaneously. This can either be achieved by using multiple machines to run the Game or by running multiple instances of the Game. The following rules are not meant to be exhaustive, and using multiple characters to level, farm reputation, run dungeons, do raids and/or engage in PVP is considered Multiboxing. Each case of Multiboxing will be judged individually and thoroughly. There are a few specific situations where you may have two characters in-game simultaneously, *only while both characters are in a major city*:

Transferring items between accounts;
Using professions, as long as no farming or material gathering is involved;
Crafting, enchanting, banking and/or for trading purposes that does not include the Auction House.
Portalling a second account only to and from major cities.
Playing simultaneously on both PvP and PvE realms. *Not restricted to major cities*

Aww, okay! Thanks for the info on that. I will adhere to the rules.

Purely out of curiosity and knowledge, may i ask why in fact this is not allowed?

This is most likely to prevent Multiboxers queing for BG's and roflstomping over the killing fields. This is the reason why you are allowed to play two accounts but only 1 on each realm because that cannot be used in an abusive way.

Because multiboxing ruins the economy by means of inflation. Also, it ruins WPVP.

don't do it.. it may be allowed on other private servers but this one is VERY strict on the multiboxxing policy. otherwise you will be great acquaintances with Pottu.

You can play 1 character on the PvE realm and a 2nd character on the PvP realm at the same time.

You can have 2 characters online on the same realm only if they are both in the same capital and you're trading, enchanting or conjuring/portalling between them. You cannot leave one behind to scan the AH or craft 50 leather belts while the other fights in WSG or goes questing either.

Also, don't use the excuse "oh I forgot to log it off", it won't work.

The GM team.
