Solution to gold sellers

Gold sellers are the real enemy here and we need to put them out of business. The reason why its such a big issue primarily is because of their ability to hack and phishing. I see more and more accounts being posted daily about being stolen. This idea is not mine but blizzards, and i saw the impact it had on gold sellers, basically shut them down overnight. Blizzard has implemented the wow token and the effects were huge. I suggest that Nostalrius put in their own method of gold supplying. Its true some people will hate this idea they will call it "pay to win", some won't care and some will love it. I personally have never bought any gold in my entire 10 years of playing wow whether it was on a private server or retail. But i completely support the idea that you start supplying gold in order to shut down the gold sellers which are hacking , spamming , whispering and taking control of peoples account one way or another. The results of developers supplying the gold is a proven method that works (i.e. wow token). Not only will it shut down most if not all of the gold sellers it also supports the developers. I strongly believe the positives of said idea heavily outweigh the negatives.
Thanks Legend

cute thought but blizzard would intervene quickly if they find out people are using their intellectual property to gain profit.

I honestly wonder about the logic that some people have. I think it's a terrible idea -and my play style limits my ability to gain reasonable sums so this would actually be of aid to me.

Every account with above lvl20 characters has a value. For minor gold gains and above all else advertising. We would still have a character market, so it would be business as usual with just repurposed means.

That is not true. The reason why it is such a big issue primarily is because people are willing to buy the gold.

If there were no buyers, there would be no market for sellers and they would shut shop and move on. They would have no need to hack or phish, and some sellers do not engage in such activities, further proving the quotation invalid.

I do not see "more and more" "daily". I have noted an increase in the number of accounts being posted and refused re-opening on the grounds of gold selling/buying. A simple trip to the Support forums proves this.

I was playing last night on my retail account and in town there is still a flood of gold selling spam. So what you saw and what I see daily are clearly two different things.

Again, incorrect. As stated, gold sellers are still active on retail realms. The "token" system is simply a competitor to their own businesses and is treated as such.

The Snow Blowers implemented several other features that helped combat gold spamming, such as preventing under 20's "free" accounts from using the auction house, trade, and chat channels. However, spammers using such accounts still make use of /say and /yell daily.

Also, would it truly be a vanilla simulation if there was no gold spammers?
