My gold has disappeared

by erst12 » Sun Mar 20, 2016 8:51 pm

Okay, so here goes: I just logged in with 17g on my level 36 priest.

So, what's the big deal you might think?

Well, last time I logged in I had around 80g from farming mats for engineering and selling guns on AH, and I even borrowed some gold from my brother in order to get a mount for lvl 40.

I work full time and don't have a lot of time to play, so it was a pretty nasty surprise to have lost hours and hours of work. I contacted the GM's and they simply said that can't help me because of the Terms of Service.

I don't know why, how or what happened. I haven't been hacked as far as I can see (why would they leave me with 17g?) and 17g is the amount of gold I had a few weeks ago.

Nostalrius simply says they can't help me. I think it's a totally unacceptable answer, because I obviously no longer am able to trust the server if my hard earned gold can be gone tomorrow.

I'm going to leave for good if this can't be solved somehow. Anyone had the same problem?

I've bolded what most likely sent a red flag, thus the gold from your brother was reverted. Do you two play on the same IP Address?

I've experienced similair things OP.
It was a bit earlier in the servers life, when it had only been released for about 4 months.
We had a lot of dc's and rollbacks back then, and one time I got dc'd, didn't bother to log back in for pretty much the entire day and when I came back more than half of my gold was missing and quite some items from my bags aswell, including quest items. Besides this my talent tree got bugged too and I was missing 1 point.

I opened a sh*tload of tickets over the course of days but never even got a single reply.
Take from that what you want.

I do want to remind you this is about 6 months ago.
.. in purgatory until a new vanilla pvp realm is opened.
