Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Sent an alt of mine [Dusky Boots] which are green quality, leather boots. When I logged on my alt to check mail the item was able to be collected and instead I had a message sent with the name of boots as the subject title in the WoW mail window.

Has anyone else experienced the same issue? How can I get this item back? It took time to get the mats so would like to get restored to my inventory, this is clearly a bug.
