Private servers unwanted.

The editor Blizzard constrained the Nostalrius project managers to close a dissenting version of its game "World of Warcraft". Hosted on a third-party server, it allowed to re-experience historical versions of the game, including the basic one or its first expansion. The american studio is hunting any initiative carried out outside of its ecosystem.

My own english may be a bit clumsy ofc but that's the spirit.

One of the biggest (might even be the biggest) German PC Gaming magazines. They published a news once the original announcement came, and now again this one given the change.org petition has reached more than 80k votes.

(I only wish they'd stop reporting the server was based on any stolen code; I have contacted them and asked for correction now)
