Classic Warcraft progression now nost is gone?

Any one think that with Nostalrius being taken down, this will speed up the development of http://classicwarcraft.com/?
Especially since every thing is being released to the public.
Perhaps we will have a fresh vanilla server to roll on sooner than we think?

I was on IRC last night and the classic warcraft devs said they'll definitely be taking a look at Nostalrius' code. Hopefully it will help them, and speed things along.

Either way, I like Classic Warcraft's philosophy, and I believe they will release a very high quality server... that is committed to being blizzlike. They said things like 7x XP events will NEVER happen there.

Classic Warcraft looks like they're doing everything right and want to continue doing so, how succesful the project is will depend on how large the population becomes.

I'm hoping it speeds up, there is some hype and it becomes a great server.

I'm crushed with the closing of Nostalrius. I can't bring myself to invest in an already established server now. I'm gonna need a break after this. And when I return to Vanilla again, it's gonna have to be a fresh start. So I actually don't mind taking a step back and patiently waiting for Classic Warcraft.

Definitely. I am blizzlike to the core. XP events are deal-breaker for me. It was comforting to hear from the Classic Warcraft devs that they would never ever do anything like that.

I think ClassicWarcraft will be really great once released, they have the same way of working Nostalrius had, but they are not releasing soon. Even with the possible speed up they are gonna get with Nostalrius source code.

I'm bookmarking the linked page and I thank you for bringing this project to my attention. Only thing I don't understand is what makes this other project different from Nost in terms of possibility to be shut down by Blizz? Sorry if I missed anything related to that.
