Vanilla.re possible email harvesting

On Nostalrius right now, different level 60 characters are spamming the same copy paste advertisement for Vanilla.re
It might be that Vanilla.re are using the information people give them to log on to Nostalrius and advertise themselves. The Nostalrius admins have not endorsed Vanilla.re yet. I would be careful handing over any information to Vanilla.re until we hear from the Nostalrius admins. It's possible the site is being used to harvest emails and information maliciously.
Be careful and stay skeptical.

This have nothing todo with scam. I'm just a player like you.

Yes men but you play with hope, close your site and come back when they will release code source, if they do.
You are promising too much things with no ETA.
Are you site is secure ? how if nostalrius 2 come exclusivly in other server who nostalrius choose and if ppl get they account hack cause they use the name login and pass in our forum cause you seem promising something big.

Look people, if nostalrius releases the source code and database, any vulture private server can pick it up and claim to be acting in the good, the reality is that if Nostalrius releases the source code and database publicly, any of these shady pservers can pick it up in an attempt to fish for players, or worse, use the information in less honest ways.
The reality atm, is that if nostalrius wishes to live on, it needs to be hosted somewhere else, with the same staff and admins that it had on nostalrius in charge of its maintnence and autonomy, this means that nostalrius MUST NOT and I honestly believe it is a mistake to make these 2 things public.
Either nostalrius chooses a server that they endorse and trust with their code / database, and OFFICIALLY support it, so the community as a whole can move on, or the community will be scared among these vulture pservers all hoping for the same thing.
IMO, either announce a trusty and worthy heir, and keep the same staff / admins working on this server, or simply let it die and cherish it for the good times we had, making OUR information public and revealing all hard work you had publicly so any shitty pserver can take advantage of it is in my opinion, a fate worse than letting this server die gloriously.

Yea, this is a very real possibility and it's why you shouldn't just jump on and register any site that registers a domain name and claims to be Nost 2.0
Check out my warning thread for reasoning as to why you should wait until Nost announces/endorses another project/realm.

Actually, I've read more than once on Vanilla.re's forum, that they have an ETA. They actually hope to have it going Sunday or Monday at best.

Lol but why do you believe that? Nostarlius hasn't released any of the data, their source or even an announcement of when.
Why do people just blindly believe the crap these random websites are claiming?
