I heard a rumor floating around that the database is being picked up by someone else and the server will be hosted in russia. I heard all of our toons will be there to. This is to good to be true right>?

Be careful of scams. If it seems to good to be true it usually is.

Personally I'm waiting for some kind of endorsement from Nost. If we hear nothing from Nost I'll be finishing my vanilla experience here. Perhaps starting somewhere new. Who knows. It's too early to tell.

I can't be 100% sure but my guess is that if it was so easy to just pick all this up and just plop it onto russian soil, the Nost team would have done that a long time ago. Also does anyone else notice how it took these volunteer teams less than 24 hours to start popping out of nowhere?

People are always ready to volunteer when ALL of the work has already been done for them. Plus think of all that potential kesh from a keshshop.
