Warrior most played class?

Hello folks,

time and again statistics tell us that warriors are the most played class and its incredidbly difficult to get a raidspot. Some sure struggle to get into a raiding guild as melee normally dont bring much utility, mostly raw damage.
But looking at Realmplayers and searching for only lvl 60s (which actually only matter; who cares about some lvl 33 warrior who gave up because it was too much of a grind?). So there are 8300 warriors, 7700 rogues and - lo and behold - 9300 mages. So arent these statistics kinda dumb to take lowlevel lvl 1 bankaccounts or leveling corpses into account?

Sincerely

Bullshit, as long as you have good performance there will be dozen of guilds wanting you in a spot.

And btw, its kind false that warrior is the most played , because there are Tanks and Dps, however rogues are all dps.

I just meant that some may struggle as you need alot more dedication than say mages. All you need to do as mage is show up early on raid, make bread and water, dont forget your craftable consumes and some buffmats and dont forget to install decursive and spam 1 for Frost Bolt all day every day and you are good to go.
Warrior gets heavily buffed by world buffs, has an actual rotation with several weapons competing which each other at different stages of the fight and so and so on. So warrior is alot more engaging and in a raid environment there is alot more to know about warrior than warlock or mage.
So some may struggle to defend their spot against other warriors who know their shit or arent lazy and get their world buffs and pad their DPS by a substantial amount. That's what I meant. :)

So if you want to slack pick another class, by your own logic... ?

I will not slack. There is no viable DPS class as Tauren except warrior therefore I will go warrior to be able to be Tauren. :)

Without a pocket healer, leveling as a Warrior is incredibly tedious. You really have to be focused on getting to max level, where if you're a halfway-decent player means you will be treated like a rock star. If you are tanking for a raiding guild you will have no problem getting the best gear, because the raid's progression depends on it. I think it depends on the player's own personality, some people like being in the center of the action, other people don't.

About that mage population, many ppl had lvl 60 mage alt for farming purposes and mage is probably most common alt because many classes are bad at farming gold.

I'm quite weirded out by the assumption that warriors are so hard to level.
Sure when you want to power through it might be tedious but if you take some time, its actually quite smooth.
You can get so much good stuff in dungeons.
So when you take your time and do dungeons maybe twice you can be decked out in blues as fast as level 25 or something as you rarely have loot competition as you most likely take one rogue and the rest is cloth.

That was my character on K1 before I started anew on K2 at hes level 26 with 8 blue items: http://armory.twinstar.cz/character-she ... aidhealach
